Ray Bobo drove to the Union County, South Carolina courthouse to obtain the land record to assist Shannon Gorman in her research towards proving Abigail Bobo Cooper is the daughter of American Revolutionary War Patriot, Lewis Bobo. John Cooper was an early settler of Marion County, MS and has many descendants in the Marion County area. His daughter Catherine married Rodolphus Willoughby; his daughter Mary Rhodes Cooper married Benjamin Hammond; his daughter Sarah married Samuel Simpson; his son Warren married Mary "Polly" Twitty;
