In some of this stuff I am sorting through there are several old area newspapers.  They are in pretty bad shape.  The attachment is from  The Pearl River News, Vol. XVL, No. 37, Columbia, Mss, Friday, October 21, 1898.  This article Is Charles Glyn Mayson from Marion County who is running for Congress, Sixth District of Miss.  Charles Glyn Mason was the brother of  Margaret  Eugenia Mayson who married John Sanders Pittman,  he was the son of James Hamilton Mayson.  Thought you might find this interesting.
