NEED HELP!!!. There will be a Wheat family reunion in Livingston Parish in April for the descendants of Hezekiah Wheat and Mary Burke. The church pastor who's a descendant asked me to try to get some information on their descendants and ancestors for a reading at the reunion. I need any historical information that you can share. William Griffin Wheat born October 7,1787 in Wilkes County, Georgia and died August 24, 1858 in Marion County, Mississippi. He was married in Amite County, Mississippi on February 28,1810 to Martha Patsy Wilkinson born June 7,1792 in Richmond County, Georgia and died August 8,1876 in Marion County, Mississippi. He was the son of John Wheat (1755-1842) and Nancy Ann Kennedy (1760-??). Martha was the daughter of Micajah Wilkinson (1776 GA-?? Amite County, MS) and Mary Kennedy (1774 Hancock County, MS-November 24, 1836 Amite County, MS) (They were married in Richmond County, Georgia on August 8,1791). William and Martha were listed on the 1850 Hancock County, Mississippi census living with their son, James Wheat.

1.John Eaton Wheat born December 24,1810 in Hancock County, Mississippi and died December 3,1881 in Marion County. He was married in Hancock County on November 17, 1836 to Mary Polly Lumpkin, born March 1818 in Hancock or Marion County, Mississippi and died March 6,1915 in Hancock County. She was the daughter of Hendricks Lumpkin.
2.Martha Ann Wheat born 1812 and was married in Marion County in 1833 to Lewis Newman.
3.Hezekiah H. "Hess" Wheat born August 15,1813 in Marion County or Hancock County, Miss and died January 11,1893 in Livingston Parish, Louisiana. He was married in Marion County on October 12,1837 to Mary Burke born December 16,1822 in Perry County, Mississippi and died May 18,1889 in Livingston Parish, Louisiana. Both were buried in the Colyell Baptist Church Cemetery. He was the son of William Griffin Wheat (1787-1858) and Martha Patsy Wilkinson (1792-1876).

5.Nancy Wheat born August 29,1815 in Marion County and died July 9,1901 in Stateline, Washington Parish, Louisiana. She was married in 1833 to Henry Andrew Kennedy, born 1806 in Alabama and died September 2,1882 at Stateline, Washington Parish, Louisiana. He was the son of Joseph A. Kennedy and ?? Wheat.

He was married between 1784-1786 to Nancy Ann Kennedy born 1760 in Wilkes County, Georgia and died 1802 in Hancock County, Mississippi. Nancy was the daughter of Henry Kennedy and Pricilla Mayhar.
